How does the Smartlipo (Laser Lipo) Work?

Smartlipo uses a tiny (1mm) micro-cannula housing a smaller laser fiber which is inserted beneath the skin and directly into the fat layers. The laser energy acts to liquefy the fat cells, allowing them to be gently suctioned by cannula, while also helping to control the level of bleeding and providing a superior recovery. Additionally, the Laser Lipo acts to contract and tighten the collagen in the overlying skin, providing a smoother and tighter look. There is minimal (if any) scarring with Smartlipo. The incisions used for the laser are very tiny and don’t require any stitches.

Areas Treated with Smartlipo

The tiny micro-laser is able to contour small areas that previously were difficult or impossible to treat, including the chin, neck, and upper arms. Who is a good candidate for SmartLipo?

SmartLipo is for patients who have a regular fitness routine and can’t reduce weight on their neck, love handles, beneath the belly button, hips, back of the arms, etc.

Does SmartLipo produce permanent results?

Yes, you’ll get permanent results.

How long will it be until I see results?

The results are visible one day after treatment and will continue to improve gradually. The fat is removed on the day of treatment and the skin tightening continues for six months. Most patients see peak results within one to three months after their procedure.

How much bruising or swelling will I have?

You can get minimal bruising and swelling for one week after the procedure.
