Chemical Peel

Conveniently located to serve the areas of Santa Ana, San Clemente and Orange County, CA

Chemical peels are a category of advanced clinical skin rejuvenation treatments that help reverse the signs of aging and the damage of past sun exposure. There are several different types of chemical peels, as well as different strengths of peels. Each day thousands of our skin cells die, flake off, and are replaced by new cells. Chemical peels speed up the process and as a result, you can enjoy younger-looking skin.

Before and After Photos

Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) or Glycolic Acid Peels

Alpha hydroxy acids are naturally occurring acids found in a variety of plants and fruits. Glycolic Acid, a type of AHA Alpha Hydroxy Acids, is found in sugar cane. Glycolic acid is widely used for cosmetic purposes. It is available in various concentrations from 20%, 30%, 50%, and & 70%. Glycolic acids work by removing dead cells on the surface of your skin and inside your pores, so they can slough off more easily. Glycolic acids are hydrophilic (water-loving) acids, so they do not work well on oily skin. Immediately after the first treatment, you will see a difference – your skin will have a fresh glow, even tone and feel smoother and softer. Each procedure lasts a few minutes and progressive improvement in the skin will be noted with each treatment. Glycolic peels are most successful in a series of four or more, spaced approximately two weeks apart. The number of sessions necessary depends on the results you are trying to achieve.

BHA (Beta Hydroxy Acid), BetaLift or Salicylic Acid Peels

Salicylic acid is a naturally occurring acid found in the bark of the willow tree. Salicylic peels work in the same manner as Glycolic Acid Peels. Salicylic Acids are Hydrophobic (oil-loving) so they work much better on oily skin. The Salicylic peels “lift” away dull, dead, skin cells giving the skin a burst of renewal and bringing healthy, young, living cells to the surface. With the Salicylic Peels, there is no downtime. Your skin immediately looks and feels smoother and tighter with a radiant, healthy glow. In a day or two, your face may begin peeling. The degree of peeling can vary from invisible to mild, to noticeable peeling and flaking. This peel is especially recommended for acne-prone individuals and persons with hyperpigmentation (brown patches). This superficial treatment can be repeated every 4 weeks to obtain optimal improvement.

The Vi Peel contains a synergistic blend of powerful peeling agents such as TCA, Salicylic Acid, and Phenol. The Vi Peel is suitable for all skin types, for dramatic results with virtually no pain, no skin preparation, and little downtime. The Vi Peel will:

  • Improve the tone, texture, and clarity of your skin
  • Reduce or eliminate age spots, freckles, and hyper-pigmentation, including melasma
  • Soften lines and wrinkles
  • Clear acne skin conditions, reduce or eliminate acne scars
  • Stimulate the production of collagen for firmer, more youthful skin

TCA (Tricholoroacetic Acid) Peel

Trichloroacetic Acid (TCA) can be used in many concentrations, but it is most commonly used for medium-depth peeling. Fine surface wrinkles, superficial blemishes, and pigment problems are commonly treated with TCA. Medium chemical peels are highly effective in promoting skin smoothness and vitality.
